Why Get Public Speaking Coaching?

There's a lot of jobs that involve some element of speaking to groups, which we call public speaking. Giving presentations, delivering a motivation sales speech, representing your company. And the higher up you go, the more you'll need to speak to groups in public speaking events or presentations.

The internal promotion, or promotion to management role is the strongest reason for needing to deliver public speaking.

So Why Would You Need a Coach?

The trouble is that many people have a serious fear of public speaking, which comes from a deeply rooted sociological fear. Many people that have to give presentations and public speaking events are introverts and it's true that although public speakers SEEM like extroverts.

Of course you don't have to have a public speaking coach. Just like you don't need a French tutor, you can learn on your own with audio books or app. You don't need a personal trainer, you can motivate yourself to go to the gym and get the body you want by reading on the internet. You don't need any of these coaches to help, but having them tends to lead to rapid progress, because the coaches know their topic exceptionally well and work hard to help you gain confidence and proficiency as a public speaker as quickly as possible.

A public speaking coach is an investment in you, your career or the future of your team.

Here's just a few more reasons:

  • A public speaking coach will teach you about methods of structuring your presentation - so you keep attention and make impact with your message.

  • A coach will advise on styles of delivery, so you can best suit the style of delivery to your audience and content - making sure it's relevant and attention holding.

  • A presentation coach will help you to cut your learning curve. When I work with even the toughest, more mortified clients, I can use them turn them into confident public speakers in two days. Imagine a lifetime of being afraid of public speaking changed in just a few hours.

  • A public speaking coach will help you discover your strengths and weaknesses. A coach will hold you accountable and tell you where you need to improve. That's essential to build your new skill of public speaking - and it's almost impossible to by yourself.

Some people don't have the confidence to do it by themselves. Others are lacking the professional skills. Don't are missing the knowledge to tackle a big public speech or presentation without getting help.

Well, that's what I do, I help professionals, leaders, managers and directors to get over their fear of public speaking, learn about the best methods of delivery and how structure their compelling content, and all in a few hours.
